On the HCM Stock Exchange, the VN-Index declined 1.4 per cent to 462.12 points.

Trading value dropped 30.4 percent over the previous day’s level to779.4 billion VND (37.1 million USD) as trading volume reached 59.8million shares.

Among the 30 leading shares in termsof capitalisation and liquidity, only PetroVietnam Low Pressure GasDistribution Co (PGD), Phu Nhuan Jewelry (PNJ), Sacombank (STB) andVinamilk (VNM) managed to increase, while Military Bank (MBB) stayedunchanged.

The VN30, tracking the performance of these shares, fetched 528.29 points: a decline of 1.17 percent.

On the Ha Noi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index fell further by 2.3 percent, reaching 59.30 points.

Decliners outnumbered advancers by 144-53.

The HNX30, tracking the northern bourse’s top shares, hit 113.13 points – a 2.8 per cent decrease.-VNA

HCM City to use municipal budget for Metro Line No. 2 project

The Metro Line No. 2 project has an estimated investment of nearly 47.9 trillion VND (2 billion USD) and has nearly completed land clearance, at 99.8%. The NA’s Resolution 188 authorises HCM City to develop seven metro lines spanning 355 kilometres over the next decade, with preliminary total investment for the 2025-2035 phase estimated at 40.2 billion USD.
