Sixth Vietnam heritage photo contest launched

HCM City (VNA) – The sixth Vietnam Heritage PhotoAwards contest was launched on July 10, calling for submissions from bothamateur and professional photographers living in Vietnam and abroad.

The annual competition, co-organised by the Vietnam HeritageMagazine and the Canon Marketing Vietnam Limited Company, aims to honour thenatural and cultural heritage values of Vietnam through photos, with the main topicsof nature, tangible and intangible cultures, and market life.

Entries submitted to the contest can be either single imagesor photo sets. Each competitor is allowed to summit a maximum of four sets ofphotos and four single photos for each topic.

Photos should be sent to the organising board beforeSeptember 15.

Some 100 excellent photos chosen from entries submitted tothe contest will be exhibited online and introduced to people in Hanoi, Ho ChiMinh City and Da Nang city.

The winning photos will be announced in late November.

Vietnam to send 498-member delegation to 20th ASIAD in Japan

The delegation comprises top athletes competing in key sports including athletics, shooting, swimming, martial arts (wushu, karate, taekwondo and jujitsu), sepak takraw, rowing, canoeing, football, volleyball, golf, fencing and weightlifting.
