Social organisation raises solidarity with Cuba

Deputy President of the Vietnam-Cuba Friendship Association Pham Viet Tu demanded the US put an end to the embargo against Cuba and release five Cuban anti-terrorism activists detained in the US prison over the past 12 years.

“The Vietnamese people, along with other nations the world over, now as before always stand by the Cuban people,” emphasised Tu.

Cuban Ambassador to Vietnam Fredesman Turro Gonzalet expressed thanks to the Vietnamese people for their support during Cuba’s hard time. The Ambassador informed the meeting of damages caused by the embargo to the Cuban economy as well as the struggle for freedom to five young Cuban anti-terrorism activists./.
