Hanoi (VNA) - Speaker Karu Jayasuriya of the SriLankan Parliament started his official visit to Vietnam on April 23.

The five-day visit is made at the invitation of NationalAssembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan.

Vietnam and Sri Lanka established diplomaticrelations in 1970. The two countries are targeting 1 billion USD in two-waytrade by 2020.-VNA

Outgoing ambassador pledges continued contributions to France-Vietnam relations

Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Hoai Trung called on Vietnam and France to maintain delegation exchanges and contacts at all levels, and make economic, trade and investment cooperation on par with their potential.
