State employees to have nine days off for Tet

Cadres, civil servants and state employees will have nine days off for the Lunar New Year Festival (Tet).
Cadres, civil servants and state employees will have nine days off for the Lunar New Year Festival (Tet), according to a Prime Minister decision.

The decision came after the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs submitted a proposal on the issue to the government leader.

Accordingly, cadres, civil servants and state employees will be off from Jan. 21-29, 2012. However, they will have to work by way of compensation on Feb. 4 (Saturday) in stead of Jan. 27.

The adjustment will not be applicable to agencies and organisations that do not follow fixed days-off on Saturdays and Sundays./.
