Cadres, civil servants and state employees will have nine days off for the Lunar New Year Festival (Tet), according to a Prime Minister decision.
The decision came after the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs submitted a proposal on the issue to the government leader.
Accordingly, cadres, civil servants and state employees will be off from Jan. 21-29, 2012. However, they will have to work by way of compensation on Feb. 4 (Saturday) in stead of Jan. 27.
The adjustment will not be applicable to agencies and organisations that do not follow fixed days-off on Saturdays and Sundays./.
