State President pays Tet visits to Dong Nai

State President Nguyen Minh Triet has praised progress made by the Party Committee and people of the southern Dong Nai province with an average yearly GDP growth of 13.2 percent, which is 1.9 times greater than the country’s average, resulting in per capita GDP of 29.6 million VND in 2010.

While paying aTet visit to the province on Feb. 1, President Triet asked theprovincial Party Committee to take measures to ensure political securityand social orders to facilitate socio-economic development, turningDong Nai into a leading province of the southern key economic zone.

The same day, President Triet visited workers and staff of the VISSANLimited Company, a member company of Saigon Trading Corporation (SATRA).

President Triet welcomed the strong development of the company, one of the country’s largest food processing enterprises.

The company should invest more in technology, expand production,diversify its products, increase competitiveness and develop markets tobuild VISSAN into a popular brand name in local and world markets, hesaid.

The President also visited the Ho Chi Minh City delegation of National Assembly Deputies to wish them a happy new year./.

Vietnamese, Chinese cities to build smart border gate pair

They also consented to promote the development of a cross-border economic cooperation zone through sectoral cooperation at Hai Yen industrial park, Van Ninh international port in Mong Cai; a cross-border e-commerce industrial park; and transport connectivity projects between the two cities including the international railway line from Mong Cai to Dongxing, Bac Luan III bridge, and an auxiliary rough steel bridge.
