Stocks traded on Hanoi Stock Exchange hit 1,000

Hanoi (VNA) – Shares of the Hanoi Consultant and Construction InvestmentJoint Stock Company, coded CCH, were officially traded on the UPCoM market atthe Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX) on August 30, becoming the 1,000th firm trading onthe northern bourse.

There are 379 companies listed and another 621trading on the UPCoM, HNX said, adding that the rapid development of the UPCoMhas helped augment the number of businesses joining the stock market over thelast couple of years.

As of August 30, 21.2 billion shares with totalmarket capitalisation of nearly 464.5 trillion VND (20.43 billion USD) had beenregistered for trading on the UPCoM.

Liquidity on this market has also improved considerablywith average trading value of almost 186.3 billion VND (8.19 million USD) eachsession during the first eight months of 2017.

HNX said the UPCoM is increasingly attractive toboth domestic and foreign investors.

Meanwhile, the 379 listed companies on the HNXhas combined market capitalisation of almost 190 trillion VND (8.36 billionUSD), and about 500-600 billion VND (22-26.4 million USD) worth of shares istraded each session on average.-VNA

Vietnam expected to export over 7.5 million tonnes of rice in 2025

MARD’s supply and demand report sent to the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT) projects the Mekong Delta will cultivate 3.78 million hectares of rice, yielding more than 23.96 million tonnes. Of this, 15.08 million tonnes of commercial rice, equivalent to 7.54 million tonnes of husked rice, will be available for export.
