Typhoon Kalmaegi damages over 26,470 houses and causes extensive losses

The typhoon and its aftermath left five people dead, three missing, and 17 injured. It also damaged 3,721 ha of rice and crops, and 3,958 ha of industrial and perennial fruit trees, up by 14 ha from the previous report. For aquaculture, 54,335 cages and 18 ha of shrimp and fish farms were destroyed, along with 118 cattle and 3,593 poultry. Additionally, 21 boats were sunk and 44 others damaged.

Central, Central Highlands localities race to recover from Storm Kalmaegi

According to Vietnam Disaster and Dyke Management Authority (VDDMA), the storm left five people dead and six injured. As of 7 a.m. on November 7, 52 houses had collapsed and 2,593 others were damaged or unroofed, including 2,412 in Gia Lai province. Nine fishing vessels were reported sunk.

Ragasa maintains peak strength, threatens northern waters

Super typhoon Ragasa is forecast to maintain very strong intensity at levels 15–16 throughout September 24. At 4 a.m. on September 24, the storm’s eye was located over the northern part of the North East Sea, about 650 km east of Mong Cai in Quang Ninh province. Maximum sustained winds near the centre reached level 15–16, with gusts above level 17, as the storm continued to move west-northwest at around 20 km/h.

Philippines braces for further rainfall, severe flooding

A storm called Francisco, located 900km east of northern Luzon as of 10 am, is moving northward with sustained winds of 65 km/h and gusts up to 80 km per hour. It is expected to exit the Philippine area of responsibility by July 24 and head toward northern Taiwan.

Tropical depression weakens, moves west-southwest

As of 1:00 am, the low-pressure area was located at around 20.0 degrees North latitude and 104.8 degrees East longitude. The strongest winds near its centre were below level 6 (under 39 km/h). Earlier, in the night of July 22, it had weakened into a low-pressure area over the Vietnam–Laos border.

Storm Wipha weakens into tropical depression, moves west-southwest

The centre said that the storm’s centre was located at approximately 20.1 degrees North latitude and 105.6–105.7 degrees East longitude, with wind speeds reaching level 6–7 (50–61km/h) and gusts up to level 9. The depression is moving west-southwest at a speed of around 10km/h.
