Student event to mark 25 years of Vietnam - US diplomatic relations

The Association of Vietnamese Professionals and Students in the US is organising the “Vong Tay Nuoc My 8” (the US’s arm 8) event from October 9 to 11 to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Vietnam-US diplomatic relations.
New York (VNA) - The Association of Vietnamese Professionals andStudents in the US is organising the “Vong Tay Nuoc My 8” (the US’s arm 8)event from October 9 to 11 to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Vietnam-USdiplomatic relations.

A wide range of activities are planned, including a talk on bilateral ties and theopportunities for young Vietnamese to study and work in the US.

Employment workshops and job fairs at the event are expected to open up newopportunities for young people to develop their soft skills. They will also receivevaluable advice while attending career consultation seminars on business,technology, science-technology education, and economy-finance education.

The event also features a Virtual Running tournament and online gametournaments, like FIFA, Valorant, and League of Legends.

The Vietnamese community is particularly interested in the Got Talent andJourney contests in the US, where they can show off their talent as well asexpress their feelings about life and their experience in the US.

An Gala Night awards ceremony will go online on October 11, attended by DeputyMinister of Foreign Affairs and Chairman of the State Committee for OverseasVietnamese Affairs Dang Minh Khoi and Vietnamese Ambassador to the US Ha KimNgoc./.

Ministry of Home Affairs to apply KPIs in public employee evaluation

The Ministry of Home Affairs will accelerate reforms under the theme “breakthrough momentum,” focusing on institutional improvement and resource mobilization. Public order crime drops 22.55% in first half

In the field of economic crime, 2,096 cases involving 4,194 suspects were prosecuted in the first half. For corruption and position-related crimes, 370 cases and 1,042 suspects were brought to trial. Meanwhile, police uncovered 11,687 drug-related cases involving 22,863 individuals.

Thai Princess Award Foundation strengthens education ties with Vietnam

Youth volunteers support operation of local administration model, online public services

The programme prioritises 286 remote border communes, wards and special areas, where coordination between local youth units is seen as crucial. Volunteers are deployed across three main functions: supporting officials with administrative procedures, helping people and businesses submit online applications and payments, and offering digital training through creative models such as mobile tech clinics and grassroots tech groups.
