Over 266,500 substandard houses eliminated nationwide

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has called on ministries, central agencies, and local authorities to take urgent and coordinated action to fulfil the national goal of doing away with all makeshift and substandard housing by August 31, 2025.

Binh Duong completes housing programme ahead of schedule

According to Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Vo Van Minh, the level of support provided by Binh Duong was nearly double the central standard, 100 million VND per newly built house and 50 million VND per repaired house, ensuring housing quality and helping people achieve stable living conditions and sustainable poverty reduction.

PM chairs national teleconference to promote key programmes

Stronger efforts and determination are required to achieve and surpass the set targets, especially in the eradication of makeshift and dilapidated houses nationwide, the acceleration of public investment disbursement, and the implementation of nationally important transport projects, PM Pham Minh Chinh noted.

Thanh Hoa aims to eradicate substandard housing by October 2025

Local officials are required to strengthen on-the-ground inspections and take prompt action to address any signs of stagnation or lack of accountability in executing the campaign. They are also tasked with completing administrative procedures to ensure timely disbursement of financial support to eligible households, avoiding overlap or omission in beneficiary identification.

Thai Binh aims to eradicate substandard housing ahead of schedule

Thai Binh province has identified 2,106 eligible households—1,164 requiring new homes and 942 needing home repairs. Each new house receives 100 million VND in aid, while 50 million VND is provided for each repaired home. The total budget for the 2024-2025 period is 163.5 billion VND (6.4 million USD).

Hai Duong strives to eliminate substandard housing by July

The northern province of Hai Duong is striving to eliminate makeshift and dilapidated housing for poor and near-poor households by July 1, 2025, according to Director of the provincial Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs Bui Thanh Tung.
