Summer camp of Vietnamese youth in Europe opens in Hungary

The fourth summer camp of Vietnamese youth in Europe (Duna Camp) opened in Budapest capital city of Hungary on August 17 (local time), with the participation of 150 Vietnamese students in 19 European countries.

Budapest (VNA) – The fourthsummer camp of Vietnamese youth in Europe (Duna Camp) opened in Budapestcapital city of Hungary on August 17 (local time), with the participation of150 Vietnamese students in 19 European countries.

Addressing the opening ceremony, Presidentof the Association of Vietnamese Students in Hungary Nguyen Anh Tu, also headof the organising board, stressed that the summer camp offers chances for Vietnamesestudents in European countries to meet and strengthen their bonds.

Participants will join in a wide range ofactivities such as folk games, sport events and symposiums on history andculture of Vietnam and Hungary, he added.

Notably, a photo exhibition is held duringthe camp, displaying hundreds photos, maps and documents affirming Vietnam’ssea and island sovereignty and introducing the country’s socio-economicachievements as well as potential on tourism development.

Nguyen Anh Tuan, Standing Secretary of theHo Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee, said activities ofVietnamese student organisations in European nations have greatly contributedto the country’s foreign relations and the Party and State’s work on connectingoverseas Vietnamese.

The Duna Camp runs until August 20. It waspreviously held in Germany, France and the Czech Republic.-VNA

Resettlement, site clearance for Ninh Thuan 1 nuclear plant gets underway

According to the Khanh Hoa provincial People’s Committee, the resettlement and site clearance project carries a total investment of about 6.7 trillion VND (about 255 million USD). Of the total, approximately 5.28 trillion VND is earmarked for compensation and site clearance, around 1.15 trillion VND for construction and equipment, and nearly 287 billion VND for project management, consultancy, other expenses and contingencies.
