The scheme to sustainably develop 1 million ha of high-quality, low-emission rice in the Mekong Delta by 2030 is advancing, said Nguyen Quoc Manh, Deputy Director of the Department of Plant Production and Protection at the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment.

The Department of Crop Production under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) has set the goals of 1.7 percent production growth and 21 billion USD in export revenue for the cultivation sector in 2019.

Cultivation sector aims to gross over 21 billion USD in export turnover in 2018, representing a year-on-year rise of 2.2-2.3 percent.
