Tay Ninh (VNA) – The youth federations of Vietnam’s southern Tay Ninh province and the Cambodian neighbouring province of Svay Rieng signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation for the 2018-2022 period on September 12.
Under the deal, the two sides will share experience and support each other in youth volunteer campaigns, as well as recreational, social welfare and humanitarian activities.
They will exchange knowledge in agricultural and industrial development, and vocational training to support youngsters in economic development.
The two sides will work together in organising sport events or exchanges among youngsters of the two provinces, while holding contests to explore arts, culture and history of both sides, along with field trips for youngsters.
Addressing the signing ceremony, Chairman of the People’s Committee of Tay Ninh Pham Van Tan lauded the contents of the deal, while pledging to create optimal conditions for the two sides to promote their strengths in building the shared border of peace, friendship and prosperity.
Meanwhile, Svay Rieng Governor Men Vibol said that the signing of the agreement showed the sound friendship and cooperation between Cambodia and Vietnam.
The two countries have worked closely together in reinforcing peace, friendship and cooperation for mutual benefit, thus contributing to boosting economic development and ensure social security in border area.
Tay Ninh shares the border with three Cambodian localities of Tbong Khmum, Svay Rieng and Pray Veng.-VNA
