Thai Binh stops operation of COVID-19 checkpoints from October 17

COVID-19 checkpoints at the gateways to and from the northern province of Thai Binh have been temporarily closed as from 12:00 am October 17, 2021, according to an official dispatch issued by the provincial People’s Committee.

Thai Binh (VNA) -COVID-19 checkpoints at the gateways to and from the northern province of ThaiBinh have been temporarily closed as from 12:00 am October 17, 2021, accordingto an official dispatch issued by the provincial People’s Committee.

Under the document, all previous regulations contrary to the dispatch areannulled. People arriving in or returning to Thai Binh province must fill healthdeclarations and strictly comply to COVID-19 prevention and control measures.

The dispatch is issued to implement the Government's 128/NQ-CP on safety adapting to COVID-19 and effectively and flexible containing the pandemic. 

At the same time, the provincial People’s Committee required local authorities to further speed up the distribution ofvaccines and the progress of vaccination against COVID-19.

Passenger and goods transport activities in the locality must comply with thedirection of the Prime Minister and the guidance of the Ministry of Transport.

Chairpersons of People's Committees of Thai Binh city and districts have been requestedto urgently approve plans for COVID-19 prevention and control at business andservice establishments, entertainment establishments, tourist sites, andreligious and worship establishments, historical sites, towards resuming activities at theseestablishments.

Local residents are asked to promptly notify the local authorities if they detect any arrivals who do not make medical declaration or  abide by COVID-19 preventionregulations.

The provincial People's Committee said the locality has basically controlled thepandemic, with no new cases detected for many consecutive days.

According to Notice No. 118dated October 16, 2021 by the provincial Department of Health, the pandemic risk of ThaiBinh city, 260 communes, wards and towns, and eight districts, are at Level 1(new normal)./.
