The Thai Intellectual Property Department expects to sign memoranda ofunderstanding with those countries so that each will suppress IPRviolations on both sides, the department’s director-general PajchimaTanasanti said.
The department recently signed a MoUwith Vietnam and is set to sign another with Cambodia. It willalso ink MoUs with Laos and Myanmar in the near future.
Under the action plan, Thailand and neighbouring countries will helpsuppress IPR violations, register for protection of IPR, preventinfringement, exchange experience and knowledge in IPR crackdowns, anddraft rules.-VNA
