Bangkok (NNT/VNA) - Various sectors of Tak province of Thailand and Myawaddy province of Myanmar have jointly held the 19th annual cycling activity in Mae Sot district.
Representatives of administrative, tourism and trade agencies of Tak and Myawaddy provinces were present at the event’s opening ceremony at Mae Moei City shopping mall.
The activity this year drew more than 1,000 participants from Thailand and Myanmar. They were to cycle from the Thailand-Myanmar Friendship Bridge in Mae Sot district in Tak province to various tourist attractions in Myawaddy province.
The activity is aimed at strengthening relations between Thailand and Myanmar, encouraging physical exercise and promoting tourism in Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Vietnam known as the CLMV subregion.-VNA
