Thailand-Myanmar Trade Expo 2017 to open

The Thai Ministry of Commerce along with foreign border trade and investment agencies will organise the Thailand-Myanmar Trade Expo 2017 on March 23-29.
Bangkok(NNT/VNA) - The Thai Ministry of Commerce along with foreign border trade andinvestment agencies will organise the Thailand-Myanmar Trade Expo 2017 on March23-29.

The expo will be held in Mae Sot district, Tak province, aiming to promotetrade and investment between Thailand and Myanmar.

Thai Commerce Minister Aphiradi Tantraporn disclosed that the Thailand-MyanmarTrade Expo 2017 will be held under the concept of "Mae Sot-Myawadee ModelStronger Together".

Myanmar's Minister of Planning and Finance has been invited to discuss and setborder trade goal to turn Mae Sot - Myawaddy into a hub for industriesincluding jewelry, tourism, medical, and transportation development.

The event will also feature over 300 booths selling consumer goods ataffordable prices, franchise products and export products from Thailand andMyanmar. The trade expo is expected to draw a large crowd from both Thailandand Myanmar.-VNA
