Bangkok (NNT/VNA) - The Thai Ministry of Commerce along with foreign border trade and investment agencies will organise the Thailand-Myanmar Trade Expo 2017 on March 23-29.
The expo will be held in Mae Sot district, Tak province, aiming to promote trade and investment between Thailand and Myanmar.
Thai Commerce Minister Aphiradi Tantraporn disclosed that the Thailand-Myanmar Trade Expo 2017 will be held under the concept of "Mae Sot-Myawadee Model Stronger Together".
Myanmar's Minister of Planning and Finance has been invited to discuss and set border trade goal to turn Mae Sot - Myawaddy into a hub for industries including jewelry, tourism, medical, and transportation development.
The event will also feature over 300 booths selling consumer goods at affordable prices, franchise products and export products from Thailand and Myanmar. The trade expo is expected to draw a large crowd from both Thailand and Myanmar.-VNA
