Thailand logged its first COVID-19 death after more than 100 days on September 18, bringing the nation’s fatalities to 59.

Hanoi (VNA) – Thailand logged its first COVID-19 death after more than 100 days onSeptember 18, bringing the nation’s fatalities to 59.

Director-General ofthe Medical Science Department of Thailand Somsak Akksilp said the deceased wasa 54-year-old Thai man who returned to the country earlier this month.

He was treated at ahospital in Bangkok capital for two weeks.
The total number ofcases in Thailand had risen to 3,497 as of September 18, according to the Centrefor COVID-19 Situation Administration./.
