Tay Ninh (VNA) – Competent forces in the southwestern province of Tay Ninh have detained three men attempting to exit Vietnam illegally, during their patrol in Ben Cau district that borders Cambodia.

The provincial Border Guard Command said on October 3 that the men are Truong Trong Loi, 41, residing in Tien Thuan commune, Ben Cau district; Nguyen Vu Linh, 32, from Vinh Thuan district, Kien Giang province; and Nguyen Van Tuan, 23, from Tan Ky district, Nghe An province.

Loi confessed that he rode a motorcycle without a licence plate to guide the others on another motorbike across the border to Cambodia, with each to pay Loi 2 million VND (80.79 USD) if the exit is successful.

Both Linh and Tuan are being hunted by police in Ha Tinh’s Loc Ha district for their roles in an online gambling operation.

The illegal exit case is under further investigation./.
