The state visit to Cambodia by General Secretary To Lam and the high-ranking delegation of Vietnam is believed not only to contribute to the solid political foundation for Vietnam – Cambodia relations, but also to create new impetus for comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties and two countries, as well as among the Parties and countries of Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos.

Party General Secretary meets with Vietnamese community in Cambodia

General Secretary To Lam stressed that his state visit to Laos and Cambodia is of special significance, being the first overseas trip by a leader of the Vietnamese Party and State immediately after the 14th National Party Congress, clearly demonstrating the consistent policy of the Vietnamese Party and State to treasure and prioritise Laos and Cambodia.

The meeting of the leaders of the CPV, CPC and LPRP achieved very positive outcomes, covering all areas of cooperation among the three Parties and countries, and once again affirming that relations among the three Parties, countries and people are of strategic and long-term significance.

Vietnamese, Cambodian Front leaders meet in Phnom Penh

The VFF leader said relations between the two Parties, States and Fronts have continued to be strengthened in a more substantive and cohesive manner, and commended the effective coordination between the two Fronts in organising people-to-people exchanges in border areas, contributing to peace, stability, friendship and solidarity along the shared border.

Samdech Techo Hun Sen affirmed that Cambodia treasures and seeks to further strengthen the bilateral relations. He also hailed Vietnam’s socio-economic progress, saying he hopes that the sides will further open their markets to deepen economic linkages.

Party chief meets President of Lao Front for National Development

The VFF and the LFNC need to work closely together to celebrate major holidays and important events of each country, especially in 2027 - the Year of Vietnam - Laos Friendship, which will feature milestones of profound significance, such as the 65th anniversary of diplomatic ties and the 50th anniversary of the Vietnam - Laos Treaty of Amity and Cooperation.
