Vietnam National University in Ho Chi Minh City on April 9granted certificates for seven training programmes that meet thestandards of the ASEAN University Network (AUN) Quality AssuranceSystem.
The programmes include informationtechnology training at Natural Sciences University and InternationalUniversity, electronics-telecommunications and manufacturingengineering at University of Technology, Vietnamese studies atUniversity of Social Sciences and Humanities, biotechnology andbusiness administration at International University.
Established in 1995, AUN aims to strengthen mutual understanding amongmember universities through training and quality assessment programmesfor mutual recognition of academic degrees.
Thenetwork has recently assessed over 40 programmes in member universities,of which the information technology programme at Natural SciencesUniversity and the business administration programme at InternationalUniversity got the highest scores in the country and region.
Vietnam National University in Ho Chi Minh City has beenan official member of the AUN since 1999. It has engaged in evaluatingtraining programmes in various fields such as social sciences andhumanities, engineering, economics and technology.-VNA
