Relevant forces of Vietnam’s northwestern province of Dien Bien and Laos’ Phongsaly province seized heroin and weapons worth over 30 billion VND (1.4 million USD) during house raids on May 1.

This is the largest seizure ever made by the two forces.

The contraband was found in the homes of three alleged heroin traffickers - Tong Dia, Tong Dinh and Chu Mua Ly - in Pa Hoc hamlet, Muong May district, Phongsaly province.

Leaders of Dien Bien Border Guard said this is one of the largest professional drug trafficking rings equipped with weapons.
