
The provincial People’s Committee onOctober 20 issued a document on the organisation of tourism activities while continuing COVID-19 prevention and control measures.
Apart from giving the green light totravel firms, it also allowed the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism tohold the first programme welcoming tourists back to Binh Thuan in the “newnormal” period and convene a meeting with the province’s tourism association.
The People’s Committee assigned thedepartment to work with the Department of Health, relevant departments andsectors, and the administrations of localities to assess COVID-19 safety levelsand announce the eligible tourism companies. The tourism department was alsotold to ensure that accommodation facilities, travel businesses, and touristattractions comply with anti-pandemic rules.
Also on October 20, the departmentissued temporary instructions on measures for safely and flexibly adaptingto and effectively controlling COVID-19, depending on pandemic levels in differentzones in Binh Thuan.
Binh Thuan isfamous for many tourist attractions, from beautiful beaches and vast sand dunes to ancient Cham towers. Notably, Mui Ne, a national tourism site, has become arenowned destination and been called the “resort capital” of Vietnam./.
