Hanoi (VNA) – US President Donald Trump will call President of the Republic of Korea (RoK) Moon Jae-in on February 28 night to brief him on the outcomes of his second meeting with the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) leader Kim Jong-un.
According to the RoK’s Presidential Residence (Blue House), the call is likely to take place around 10 p.m (Vietnam time), around the time when the US President is slated to leave Hanoi for home after the DPRK-USA Hanoi Summit Vietnam.
The Blue House’s spokesperson Kim Eui-kyeom said the RoK side has asked the US President to make the call before his departure.
President Trump earlier had promised to explain the outcomes of his meeting with Chairman Kim to the RoK President the soonest possible.
Following the first summit between the two leaders in Singapore in June last year, President Trump called President Moon while heading home on board Air Force One.
The second summit between US President Donald Trump and DPRK leader Kim Jong-un ended without any joint statement being issued, the White House announced.-VNA
