Tuyen Quang (VNA) – The northern mountainous province of Tuyen Quang is intensifying efforts to eliminate substandard houses by September 2025 by implementing flexible solutions and mobilising resources to support low-income households.

Tuyen Quang plans to replace or repair 6,928 temporary and dilapidated houses in 2025, requiring an estimated budget of over 343 billion VND (about 13.7 million USD).

To achieve the goal of eliminating all temporary houses by September 2025, the provincial steering committee has issued directives to accelerate the implementation and called for financial contributions from organisations and individuals.

The province was allocated over 43 billion VND (roughly 1.7 million USD) from the central government’s savings fund to assist low-income households.

As of mid-March, 3,418 homes had been constructed or renovated, reaching 49.34% of the annual target. It aims to begin work on all remaining houses by the end of the second quarter and complete the initiative by August 30, 2025./.
