He said he is pleased with thedeveloping cooperation between Vietnam and the UN, including theimplementation of the “One-UN” initiative in the country.
The UNleader praised Vietnam’s support for the UN activities through itsactive contributions to realising Millennium Development Goals (MDGs)and building post-2015 sustainable development goals (SDGs) as well asits participation in the UN peacekeeping forces.
On her part,Ambassador Nga affirmed that Vietnam respects the UN’s effectiveassistance for the country’s socio-economic development.
Vietnam will continue to implement its consistent foreign policy ofindependence, self-reliance and peace for cooperation and development,she said, adding that the country plans to actively and proactivelyintegrate into the world, with multilateral diplomacy and relations withthe UN being one of its top priorities.
In the coming time,Vietnam will continue to actively contributing to building the UN’sstrategies and action plans in various fields, with the focus on SDGsand the 2015 agenda, peacekeeping, regional and international security,and the solving of global challenges, Nga noted.-VNA
