Bangkok (VNA/NNT) – United Nations Educational, Scientific andCultural Organisation (UNESCO) Director-General Irina Bokova and ChairpersonMichael Worbs will deliver a message of condolences to Thailand over thepassing of King Bhumibol Adulyadej on September 26 at the UNESCO headquartersin Paris, France.

The message will be delivered on thefirst day of an International World Peace meeting where UNESCO permanentdelegates from Buddhist organisations will attend during September 26-28.

The meeting will be chaired by ThaiAmbassador to France and permanent Thai delegate to UNESCO SihasakPhuangketkeow.

To be organised by the WorldFellowship Of Buddhists, the Royal Thai Embassy in Paris, and the Office ofThai Permanent Delegation to UNESCO, the event will be attended by delegatesfrom Buddhist organisations from around the world, including China, Japan,Australia, the Republic of Korea, Malaysia, and Nepal.-VNA
