US singer, songwriter, actress and television personality Kelly Rowland will join Vietnamese and foreign artists for the sixth Hennessy Artistry concert in Hanoi on April 17.

The four-time Grammy Award winner will perform alongside Australia’s Timomatic, Republic of Korean rock band Nemesis and Vietnameses singer Nguyen Thuy Trang at the show, which has been organised by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism with the alcohol importer Moet Hennessy Viet Nam.

Rowland rose to international fame in 1997 when she was 16 years old as a member of Destiny’s Child – one of the most successful girl groups of all time – which also featured a young Beyoncé.

She has sold over 60 million albums worldwide and managed to collaborate with a number of internationally famous artists.

Born in Hanoi, Nguyen Thuy Trang moved to settle in France in 1999 when she was 10 years old. She had a passion for arts, but only decided to become a professional singer after returning to Ho Chi Minh City.

In 2011, she released her first hit single ‘ Like a Dream’ . Her debut album ‘Runaway’ followed several months later – a series of songs written in Vietnamese, French and English.

She also contributed a song to the 2012 blockbuster “ Scandal”, which became very popular among teenagers.

Timomatic features singer, composer and dancer Tim Omaji. In 2011, he released his debut single “ Set it Off” , which was certified four times platinum by the Australian Recording Industry Association.

Meanwhile, Nemesis have been successful exponents of K-Pop and K-Rock since their establishment in 1997.-VNA
