The Embassy of Venezuela in Hanoi hosted a service for the late President Hugo Chavez Rias on February 14 as part of an international movement to remember him.

At the service, Vietnamese and Venezuelan friends read poems praising the late President and the two nations’ relationship.

According to Ambassador Jorge Rondon Uzcategui, despite the geographical distance between them, the solidarity and friendship between the Venezuelan and Vietnamese people have been unceasingly consolidated and developed.

The two countries’ long-lasting friendship has been nurtured by their leaders and people, including supporting each other in their struggles for independence, he said.
