Hanoi (VNA) – The Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) will continue its close coordination with the National Assembly, Government and relevant agencies of Vietnam to contribute to enhancing the friendship and multi-faceted cooperation with the State and people of Iran, said President of the VFF Central Committee Tran Thanh Man.

Man told Speaker of the Parliament of Iran Ali Ardeshir Larijani in Hanoi on April 16 that the VFF will work to encourage political and social organisations, and associations of the two countries to expand exchange and cooperation.

The VFF leader expressed his hope that the Iranian Parliament will make more contributions to deepening the bilateral collaboration in an effective manner, especially in economy.

Vietnam always attaches importance to the traditional friendship and mutually beneficial cooperation with Iran, Man said, noting with pleasure the active development of the bilateral ties, as reflected through visits by the two countries’ leaders over the past time.

He used the occasion to congratulate Iran on the economic achievements, political stability and the elevated position in the region and the world the country has recorded.

Larijani, for his part, briefed the host about outcomes of his talks with Chairwoman of the Vietnamese National Assembly Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, during which both sides shared views on potential for cooperation in oil and gas, minerals, information-technology, telecommunications, aviation, culture and education-training.

The Iranian leader urged the two countries to step up their affiliation, particularly in trade and investment, thus raising bilateral trade for the sake of people of each country.-VNA
