The GSW, scheduled for April 26-28, will take the theme “CreatingEconomies of Shared Value”. It will focus discussions on the global situation,globalism and nationalism, impacts of digital era, green technology, the use ofInternet and information technology in business, new business models, expansionof markets for women-led enterprises, and improving women’s role in businessactivities.
The event is due to see the presence of the Prime Ministerof Bangladesh, the President of Mauritius, ministers, deputy ministers of manycountries, along with executives from trans-national corporations such as FinancialTimes, Mc Kinsey, Deloitte, eBay, Facebook, Intel, IBM, Daimler, Westpac, and about1,000 female entrepreneurs and representatives from women’s organisations.
During the event, Vietnam will continue affirming its activerole and stature at international forums, the importance of strengtheningconnectivity with female government leaders and businesses to expand economicopportunities for women. The country will take the occasion to highlight itscontributions to ensuring gender equality and women’s advancement, and shareideas to promote gender equality and encourage women’s involvement in economicfield.
The Vice President’s trip to Australia takes place at a timewhen the two countries celebrate the 45th anniversary of bilateraldiplomatic ties, especially following the recent establishment of strategicpartnership.
Her bilateral activities aim to maintain all-levelexchanges, promote ties at local level and boosting partnership across economy,trade, education, climate change response and environment protection.-VNA
