VietJet Air to launch new air routes

The budget airline VietJet Air will launch two new routes in April and May to meet the increasing demand to travel from both domestic and foreign passengers.

The airline announced on Feb.27 that a service linking Ho Chi Minh City and the central city ofDa Nang will begin operating two flights per day from April 27 andanother route between Ha Noi and Nha Trang will be launched on May 19with one flight per day.

A spokesperson for VietJetAir said that the new routes, along with the increase of daily flightsbetween HCM City and Hanoi to eight from April, are expected to cuttravel times and costs for passengers.

Currentlyonly operating domestic routes, VietJet Air is keen to add a number ofinternational air routes to its schedules this year.

The airline first appeared in the Vietnamese market at the end of2011, but have already made nearly 360 flights, carrying 40,000passengers to various destinations./.
