With the three new routes from Hai Phong to Phu Quoc, Da Lat, Buon Ma Thuot and other destinations from Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Nha Trang and Pleiku, Vietjet has become the biggest carrier to the port city of Hai Phong with around 30 flights a day, accounting for 70 percent of the total capacity of Cat Bi International Airport.

On this occasion, Vietjet presented 200 health insurance cards to the underprivileged in Hai Phong.

The Hai Phong – Phu Quoc route began operation from May 12 with four round flights per week on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. Its flight time per leg is around 2 hours 5 minutes. Hai Phong is a crucial aviation gateway, an industrial center and the largest port in the northern Vietnam. It is also an economical, cultural and commercial centre of the northern coastal region. The city has a great potential for tourism with the UNESCO-recognised sea reservation area at Cat Ba Islands together with Do Son beaches and resorts.

The new routes from Hai Phong to Phu Quoc, Da Lat and Buon Ma Thuot are expected to shorten traveling time for tourists and people among tourist-attraction destinations and surrounding areas.

Currently, Vietjet boasts a fleet of 36 aircraft, including A320s and A321s, and operates 250 flights each day. It has already opened 50 routes in Vietnam and across the region to international destinations such as Thailand, Singapore, the Republic of Korea, Taiwan, China, Myanmar and Malaysia.
