The national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines announced on April 20 that it will rearrange check-in areas for priority passengers.

Hanoi (VNA) – The national flag carrier VietnamAirlines announced on April 20 that it will rearrange check-in areas forpriority passengers.

They include business and premium economy-class passengers,and members of the Golden Lotus programme and SkyTeam alliance who will docheck-in procedures in counters  exclusivelydesigned for them.

The move aims to improve its four-star services up to Skytraxstandards.

Accordingly, new priority check-in areas will be availablein Hanoi’s Noi Bai international airport, Ho Chi Minh City’s Tan Son Nhatinternational airport, and Da Nang, Cam Ranh (Nha Trang) and Vinh airports, andforeign airport in Frankfurt (Germany), Moscow (Russia), Tokyo (Japan), Sydneyand Melbourne (Australia), Seoul (the Republic of Korea), Taiwan, Hong Kong(China), Siem Reap (Cambodia), Bangkok (Thailand), Singapore, Kuala Lumpur(Malaysia) and Jakarta (Indonesia).

On April 9, the world’s largest travel review websiteTripAdvisor named Vietnam Airlines as one of the best airlines in Asia in theannual Travellers’ Choice Major Airlines – Asia 2018 awards.-VNA

K’Ho ethnic minority group in Lam Dong province looks forward to Election Day

Lac Duong commune is a remote locality largely inhabited by the K’Ho ethnic minority in Lam Dong. Hanoi customs seize suspected gold smuggled by four passengers at Noi Bai airport

The inspection revealed that passenger P.T.H. had concealed 10 pieces of the metal, weighing about 5 kg, inside her bra and underwear. Passenger V.T.M. hid five pieces totalking roughly 1.1 kg beneath underwear. Passenger N.V.L. concealed nine pieces amounting to around 3.5 kg, while passenger C.S.M.H. hid seven pieces weighing some 2.7 kg under underwear and on the wrist.
