Vietnam Airlines receives 12th Airbus A350

Hanoi (VNA)– The national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines has received the 12th out of total 14 Airbus A350-900 aircraft that it ordered earlier.

Coded VN-A897, this isthe first A350 aircraft in the world decorated with the global airline allianceSkyTeam and Vietnam Airlines logos on its body.

The plane was put intouse for the Hanoi-Ho Chi Minh City route on April 15.

The airline receivedits first A350 in 2015. The 11th one was transferred to the airlinein March 2018 during Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong’s visit toFrance.

As scheduled, the resttwo aircraft will be handed over to Vietnam Airlines during 2019.

Inthe first quarter of 2018, Vietnam Airlines operated nearly 33,000 safeflights, up 4.3 percent over the same period last year.

With a widespread flight network featuring more than 90 air routes todestinations in Vietnam and around the world, Vietnam Airlines is one of thekey airlines of Vietnam and the region.

Vietnam Airlines’ service quality was rated four stars by SkyTrax – aprestigious airline rating organization of the UK – in two consecutive years.The airline is also highly evaluated by international passengers for culturalidentity shown in each flight. HCM City to use municipal budget for Metro Line No. 2 project

The Metro Line No. 2 project has an estimated investment of nearly 47.9 trillion VND (2 billion USD) and has nearly completed land clearance, at 99.8%. The NA’s Resolution 188 authorises HCM City to develop seven metro lines spanning 355 kilometres over the next decade, with preliminary total investment for the 2025-2035 phase estimated at 40.2 billion USD.
