(Source: Vietnam Airlines) Hanoi (VNA)– The national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines has received the 12th out of total 14 Airbus A350-900 aircraft that it ordered earlier.
Coded VN-A897, this isthe first A350 aircraft in the world decorated with the global airline allianceSkyTeam and Vietnam Airlines logos on its body.
The plane was put intouse for the Hanoi-Ho Chi Minh City route on April 15.
The airline receivedits first A350 in 2015. The 11th one was transferred to the airlinein March 2018 during Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong’s visit toFrance.
As scheduled, the resttwo aircraft will be handed over to Vietnam Airlines during 2019.
Inthe first quarter of 2018, Vietnam Airlines operated nearly 33,000 safeflights, up 4.3 percent over the same period last year.
