Vietnam Airlines aircraft (Source: VNA) Hanoi (VNA) – The national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines willcontinue increasing the frequency of domestic flights to serve increasing traveldemand of people as the COVID-19 pandemic is well controlled in the country andthe domestic aviation market is recovering rapidly, the carrier’srepresentative said on September 14.
Accordingly, for theHanoi-Vinh route, the airline will add two flights a week in September and fivein October, raising the total flights to nine and 14 a week, respectively.
Vietnam Airlineswill increase nine flights a week onHanoi-Quy Nhon route, raisingthe total to 15.
For Hanoi-Nha Trangroute, it will add 16 flights per week to make the total rise to 26.
Four more flights aweek will be increased on Hanoi-Da Lat and Hanoi-Pleiku routes, raisingthe total to 18 and 11, respectively.
For Hanoi-Tuy Hoaroute, Vietnam Airlines will flexibly adjust its schedule based on passengers’real travel demand.
Earlier, thenational flag carrier announced that from September 16, it will increase thefrequency of flights connecting Da Nang city and Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, with four and five round trips a day, respectively.
The airline ismaking final preparation steps to resume international commercial flights rightafter the resumption is approved by the relevant authorities.
Flight schedule maybe adjusted based on situations and development of the pandemic, it warned.
Social distancing andpreventive measures will be applied during the flights per order of theMinistry of Transport to curb the spread of COVID-19.
