Phnom Penh (VNA) – With 183 valid projects worth 2.85 billion USD by the end of December2016, Vietnam continues to be among the top five foreign investors in Cambodia. 

Vietnam isnow the third biggest trade partner of Cambodia, with two-way trade reaching 3 billionUSD in 2016.

In thefirst two months of 2017, bilateral trade hit 624.1 million, up 21.2 percentcompared to the same period last year. The two countries are striving toincrease the figure to 5 billion USD.

The figureswere released by Vietnamese Ambassador to Cambodia Thach Du at a recent businessconference.

Heattributed thriving trade ties to the two countries’ friendship, closegeographic location and government support, adding that there is potential forfurther economic cooperation.

Organisedby the Vietnam Embassy in Cambodia, the conference gathered some 100 Vietnameseinvestors in the country, including the Vietnam Rubber Group and Metfone – an arm of the military-run telecommunicationgroup Viettel.-VNA

Honda Vietnam posts strong car sales growth, leads motorcycle market

The company sold 172,299 motorcycles in June, up 4.7% from the same month last year, highlighting steady consumer demand even as the market gradually shifts towards greener transport options. For the first six months of 2026, motorcycle sales reached 515,743 units, up 0.6% year-on-year.

Plan issued to develop agricultural logistics system

Suntory PepsiCo inaugurates 300-million-USD plant in southern Tay Ninh province
