The Vietnam portal on foreign investment procedures has been officially launched by the Ministry of Planning and Investment’s Foreign Investment Agency.

Director of the agency Do Nhat Hoang said the ministry is accelerating administrative while supporting enterprises to perform processes and procedures in a fast, accurate and effective manner.

Enterprises and investors can access step-by step guides on investment and business procedures in localities: Hanoi, Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City, the northern provinces of Phu Yen, Hai Duong, Vinh Phuc and the central province of Binh Dinh.

The portal offers instruction manuals in five languages including English, Japanese, Korean, Chinese and Vietnamese.

Frank Grozel, expert from the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), said Vietnam is the first country in the Southeast Asian region to develop and implement such an information system.

He described as the country’s effort in improving the business-investment climate in accordance with open and explicit tendencies for investors.

The Vietnam portal on foreign investment procedures helps increase the attractiveness of the country’s business-investment climate while creating opportunities for people and enterprises to access information, prevent corruption and give feedback to authorized bodies during the administrative reform process.-VNA
