A training course for Lao reporters was opened in Vientaine on December 23 by the Vietnamese Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC) in coordination with the Lao Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism (MICT).
Director General of the MICT’s Mass Media Department Pin Phatthana said that the country is strongly integrating into the international community, thus requiring its reporters to acquire more specialised knowledge and experience.
Such training courses offered by the Vietnamese side have helped improve its reporters’ capacity, he added.
Phatthana thanked the MIC for its assistance to the Lao press and urged trainees to try their hardest to fulfil the goals of the course.-VNA
