Kuala Lumpur (VNA) - Two Spanish nationals, a Hong Kong (China) national, and a Malaysian, who reportedly went missing at sea, were saved by Vietnamese fishing boats, Malaysian officials said on May 12.

The four on board a small boat went missing off the northern coast of Borneo island on May 2.

Vessels of the Malaysian navy and the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) discovered them on board some Vietnamese fishing boats during their search on May 12.

General Director of the MMEA Datul Ahmad Puzi Kahar confirmed the four are alive and are on board some Vietnamese fishing boats in international water area. 

They will be brought back to Malaysia’s Kota Kinabalu city on Borneo island on the same day.-VNA
