Vietnam always attaches importance to strengthening friendship and comprehensive cooperation with nations in Central and Eastern Europe, including Bulgaria.

Minister of Finance Vuong Dinh Hue stated this at a meeting with Bulgarian Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Simeon Dyankov in Hanoi on October 17.

Hue further said that Vietnam is keen to forge a closer relationship with Bulgaria in the fields of finance and economics.

During their meeting, the two ministers discussed issues of common concern, including public debt crisis in Europe . They also mentioned the macroeconomic situation in both countries and plans for closer links between the two ministries in the future.

Hue praised the Bulgarian Government and people for supporting Vietnam over the years and congratulated Dyankov on the achievements Bulgaria has made by maintaining its economic growth and curbing inflation.

He said that he hopes the Bulgarian and Vietnamese financial sectors will facilitate economic and trade cooperation between the business communities in both countries.

Dyankov said he is delighted at the increasing development in the cooperative ties between the two countries, expressing his hope that Vietnam ’s Ministry of Finance will serve as a bridge to promote cooperation in all fields between the two countries in the future.

He also confirmed that Bulgaria will create the right conditions for more cooperation in economics, trade and investment between the two countries.-VNA
