Tu Minh Thien, President of the Ho Chi Minh City Investment and Trade Promotion Centre (ITPC), told a meeting in the nation’s largest economic hub on February 18 that his agency will hold a number of exhibition fairs to support domestic business circles in promoting exports to the US . He cited an international exhibition on franchising from April 1-3 and a trade fair on key products from April 2-7.

He advised domestic enterprises to be careful of product quality and use safe payment tools while being in possession of full knowledge of US import law.

The US Government is very serious about green technology and the recycling industry, Thien said.

Vietnam exports almost 15 billion USD worth of commodities to the US and spends some 3.5 billion USD in importing US products each year. Apparel, footwear, electric appliances, seafood and machinery and equipment are Vietnam ’s major hard currency earners in the US market./.
