Vietnam-China People’s Friendship festival kicks off

Addressing the function, Chairman of the Vietnam-China FriendshipAssociation, Nguyen Xuan Thang, affirmed that the friendship between thetwo countries is a valuable asset and good tradition.

The increase of exchanges, mutual understanding and trust between thetwo nations is an indispensable factor in the development of eachcountry and beneficial to the long-term interest of the people, hestressed.

For his part, head of the China-VietnamFriendship Association, Wang Jinshan, said that in recent yearsfriendship associations of the two countries have organised a series ofpeople-to-people activities to increase the two countries’ friendship.

He also expressed his belief that the festival willfurther contribute to deepening mutual trust and cooperation between thetwo peoples and promote the comprehensive strategic cooperationpartnership between Vietnam and China .

Host and guest agreed that the festival will educate the youth of both countries on the Vietnam-China friendship.

Earlier the same day, the head of the China-ASEAN Association received the Vietnamese delegation.

The festival will wrap up on November 19.
