Vietnam, China push cooperation between localities

Beijing (VNA) –Tran Quoc Vuong, Politburo member and permanent member of the Secretariat ofthe Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee, on August 22 asked China’s Shaanxiprovince to enhance cooperation with Vietnamese localities and improve theefficiency of collaboration in economy, trade, tourism, and culture.

He made the suggestions ata meeting with Hu Heping, member of the Communist Party of China (CPC)Central Committee and Secretary of the Shaanxi Provincial Committee of the CPC,during which Vuong also briefed the host on Vietnam’s socio-economicdevelopment.

Vuong highly valued the achievementsrecorded by the Chinese province in recent times, noting his belief that underthe leadership of the CPC Provincial Committee and local authorities, Shaanxi residentswill successfully complete targets and tasks set by the 19th CPC NationalCongress.

In response, Hu Hepingspoke of Shaanxi province’s efforts in Party building, socio-economicdevelopment, and poverty reduction, especially its experience in reforms andopening up, as well as the implementation of the resolution adopted at the 19thCPC National Congress.

He informed his guest aboutthe outcomes of cooperation between Shaanxi and Vietnam in general and itslocalities in particular, and expressed his opinions on orientations to step upthe affiliation for the time ahead.

During their stay inShaanxi, Vuong and his delegation visited new style rural building models andsocio-economic  establishments in Yan’an and Xi’an cities. –VNA
