Vietnam, Chinese Parties target further cooperation

He made the appealat a December 19 meeting with visiting Wang Jiarui, Vice Chairman ofthe National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political ConsultativeConference and head of the Communist Party of China (CPC) CentralCommittee’s International Department.

The Party chiefconsidered the guest’s visit as a step to concretise and develop theVietnam-China comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership.

Highlighting new and active developments in the bilateralrelationship over the past time, he commented on regular meetingsbetween the two countries’ leaders as allowing common perceptions to bereached and important orientations to be rolled out for comprehensiveand effective developments in relations between the two Parties and thetwo countries as well.

Party General Secretary Trong highlyvalued the outcomes of the talks between the CPCCC’s InternationalDepartment and the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee’sCommission for External Relations as well as their contributions to theVietnam-China comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership.

He used the occasion to congratulate the Chinese people on theirgreat achievements they have attained under the leadership of the CPCover the past time, especially after the 13 th National CPC Congress.

The Party leader asked Wang to convey his greetings to PartyGeneral Secretary and President Xi Jinping and other Party and Stateleaders of China.

For his part, Wang briefed his host on theresults of his visit to Vietnam, China’s performance in various areasas well as the fruitful cooperation between the two external relationscommissions.

Speaking highly of the cooperation outcomesbetween the two Parties and countries over the past time, he stressedthat the Party, Government and people of China have always givenimportance to developing the traditional friendly neighbourliness withVietnam.

China vows to do its utmost, together with theParty, State and people of Vietnam, to materialise common perceptionsand signed documents reached by the two Parties’ leaders and bothStates, thus bringing more depth and width to the comprehensivestrategic cooperative partnership, for the sake of each country’speople, he said.

Earlier, Wang met with head of the CPVCentral Committee’s Commission for External Relations Hoang Binh Quan,during which they had an in-depth discussion on the relations betweenthe two Parties and countries.

They also compared notes on regional and international issues of common concern.

The same day, he was received by President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee Nguyen Thien Nhan.

While staying in Vietnam, the CPC delegation is scheduled to visit Ho Chi Minh City and the southern city of Can Tho.-VNA
