Because of increasingly stricter requirements for skilled workers, many vocational schools have paid heed to improving training via greater participation in skills competitions.
The Genral Directorate of Vocational Training and Denso Vietnam Co. Ltd on April 7 signed a memorandum of understanding on training contestants for the upcoming 44th WorldSkills Competition.
The Vietnamese team have brought home 7 gold, 7 silver and 6 bronze medals along with 16 certificates of excellence from the 12th ASEAN Skills Competition which took place in Nonthaburi, Thailand from August 26 to September 5.
Over the past 24 years, Vietnam has actively participated in many activities to promote unity, cooperation and position of ASEAN in the international arena.
Vietnam will send 19 contestants to compete in 18 occupations at the 45th World Skills Competition (WSC 2019), which will take place in Kazan, Russia from August 16-28.
