Vietnam condemns bomb attacks in Iraq

Vietnam on August 21 strongly condemned the deadly attacks that killed nearly 100 people and wounded hundreds of others in Iraq ’s capital city of Bangdad on August 19.
Vietnam on August 21 strongly condemned the deadly attacks that killed nearly 100 people and wounded hundreds of others in Iraq ’s capital city of Bangdad on August 19.

“ Vietnam condemns the terrorist attacks which caused huge damage of lives and property on August 19 in Bangdad,” Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Nguyen Phuong Nga told reporters at a press briefing.

“We would like to convey our condolences to the government and the people of Iraq as well as the victims’ families. We believe that the government and the people of Iraq will soon stabilise the situation and successfully complete the cause of national reconstruction,” the spokesperson added.

According to news reports, the bloody attacks occurred when two truck bombs struck the Iraqi foreign and finance ministries, killing a total of 95 people and wounding some 563 others./.
