Hanoi (VNA) - An additional 1,196 cases of COVID-19 were reported in the six and a half hours to 12:30pm on July 14, raising the national tally to 36,605, according to the Health Ministry.

Ho Chi Minh City still accounted for the largest number of newly-detected cases with 971, followed by Tien Giang 115, Dong Thap 91, Phu Yen eight, Ben Tre three, Bac Giang two, and Thua Thien – Hue, Vinh Phuc, Lao Cai, Lam Dong, Nghe An, and Hanoi one each. Of the cases, 1,095 were detected in quarantine facilities or locked down areas.

As of 12:30 pm, Vietnam had counted 34,656 domestically-infected cases and 1,949 imported ones. The number of recoveries stood at 9,553.

A total of 33,086 infections were reported since the fourth outbreak hit the country. 6,779 of whom have been given all-clear.

Among active patients, 307 have tested negative for the coronavirus once, 114 twice and 81 thrice.
