President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Nguyen Thien Nhan visited and presented gifts to war invalids at their nursing home in northern Bac Giang province on July 23.

Fatherland Front leader Nhan listenedto war invalids’ requests and aspirations relating to them and theirfamilies. President Nhan also told war invalids that Prime MinisterNguyen Tan Dung had asked local authorities and organisations to paymore heed to war invalids.

The Prime Minister hasinstructed the Ministry of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs andthe Fatherland Front to review the implementation of policies regardingto those who rendered service to nation, with focus on war invalids andfamilies of martyrs, said Nhan.

On the sameday, Senior Lieutenant General Ngo Xuan Lich, member of the PartyCentral Committee’s Military Commission and head of the PoliticsDepartment of the Vietnam People’s Army, handed gifts to war invalids atthe caring centre in Duy Tien district, northern Ha Nam province./.

Ministry proposes seven-day 2027 Lunar New Year holiday

Under the Ministry of Home Affairs' proposal, civil servants and public employees in Vietnam would receive five statutory days off, including two days before and three days after the Lunar New Year.
