President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Nguyen Thien Nhan visited and presented gifts to war invalids at their nursing home in northern Bac Giang province on July 23.
Fatherland Front leader Nhan listened to war invalids’ requests and aspirations relating to them and their families. President Nhan also told war invalids that Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung had asked local authorities and organisations to pay more heed to war invalids.
The Prime Minister has instructed the Ministry of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs and the Fatherland Front to review the implementation of policies regarding to those who rendered service to nation, with focus on war invalids and families of martyrs, said Nhan.
On the same day, Senior Lieutenant General Ngo Xuan Lich, member of the Party Central Committee’s Military Commission and head of the Politics Department of the Vietnam People’s Army, handed gifts to war invalids at the caring centre in Duy Tien district, northern Ha Nam province./.
