Vietnam has studied France’s experiences in managing telecom activities, restructuring telecoms businesses and organising communications, broadcasting and television networks, as well as e-publications during a France visit by the Minister of Information and Communications.

Minister Nguyen Bac Son said the experiences will be used by the Ministry of Information and Communications when it makes supplements to an e-publication law, to be submitted to the National Assembly next month.

In his five-day working visit, started on Sept. 3, Son held talks with Minister Fleur Pellerin, Frances Minister for Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (SME)s, Innovation and Digital Economy, talking measures to step up cooperation in information, communications and media publications.

They agreed to boost coordination in information and popularisation work during 2013-2014 when both countries will celebrate their 40 th anniversary of diplomatic ties, in preparation for lifting their bilateral relationship to a strategic partnership.

Son also met with France ’s Minister of Culture and Communications, Aurelie Filippeti to touch on ways to promote both Vietnam and French to other countries, helping to deepen the traditional friendship between the two nations.

He worked with Channel 24, agreeing to exchange media personnel to advance bilateral cooperation in the future.

On Sept. 6, Minister Son met with people from the overseas Vietnamese community and staff from the Vietnamese embassy in France .

Earlier, he paid visits to Poland and Hungary to look for possibilities for cooperation in developing IT and network security.-VNA
